Adeyemi Hosts Ramadan Lecture, Empowers Constituents With Cash, Gifts

The member representing Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Benjamin Adeyemi Olabinjo, has organised a Ramadan lecture and empowerment programme for residents of his constituency in Lagos State, distributing cash and gift items to support families during the holy month.
The event, which held in Ifako-Ijaiye, attracted members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muslim faithful and community leaders, who also used the occasion to offer prayers for Nigeria and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking at the programme, the guest lecturer, Imam Ridwanullah Megida, urged Muslims and Christians to live peacefully with one another, stressing the need for love, tolerance and kindness among people of different faiths.
The cleric emphasised the importance of good character and the fear of God in building a stable society. According to him, couples must strive to nurture healthy marriages, noting that successful unions often produce strong and responsible families.
Megida further explained that Islam encourages spouses to support and respect one another, adding that patience, tolerance, forgiveness and prayers are essential virtues that help strengthen family bonds and promote harmony within communities.
In his welcome address, Adeyemi said the annual Ramadan lecture provides an opportunity for reflection, spiritual renewal and prayers for the nation’s progress.
He noted that the initiative was also designed to support constituents through empowerment and encourage unity among residents of the constituency.
Adeyemi expressed appreciation to the large turnout of guests, religious leaders and community members who attended the event, describing their presence as a demonstration of collective commitment to faith, unity and community development.
The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to initiatives that promote social welfare, religious harmony and grassroots development in Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency.
