ACDC Inaugurates New Executive Council, Honours Members at Award Ceremony in Lagos
The Association of Capacity Development Consultants Nigeria (ACDC) has inaugurated its new Executive Council alongside a special award ceremony at Excellence Hotel, Ogba, Lagos. The event, held on Saturday, marked the beginning of a new two-year leadership tenure under the presidency of Pastor Kola Olupitan.
Swearing-in the new executives, the association celebrated key milestones in its over 20-year history. Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Elder Patrick Onowosafey, commended the outgoing leadership for successfully registering the association with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), describing the achievement as a major boost to ACDC’s credibility and institutional capacity.
In his valedictory address, outgoing President, Chief Augustine Ojei, MSc, Econ, FIFMC, traced the origin of ACDC to a professional solidarity effort two decades ago. He noted that the association draws members from diverse professional backgrounds, including accounting, public relations, management, marketing, procurement, healthcare, and information and communication technology, many of whom have transitioned into human capital development and training consultancy.
Delivering the keynote address, OCF Nwaokocha applauded the outgoing executives for steering the association from its formative years to formal registration, describing the smooth handover as a new chapter in ACDC’s growth.
In his acceptance speech titled “A Mission to Succeed,” the newly inaugurated President, Pastor Kola Olupitan, FNIM, FILMC, outlined his administration’s priorities, including enhanced professionalism, global certification, “train-the-trainer” programmes, a strengthened code of conduct, establishment of a training hub, and improved membership welfare.
He expressed appreciation to members for the confidence reposed in the new leadership, pledging to drive ACDC’s mission and vision towards greater excellence and global 
relevance.
