hysical Screening for 50,000 Constable Applicants March 9

The Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have announced that physical and credential screening for candidates in the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables will commence nationwide on March 9, 2026.
In a statement issued on February 24, 2026, the Chairman of the Commission, Hashimu Salihu Argungu, said the screening exercise will run from March 9 to April 18, 2026, across designated centres in all states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to the Commission, all applicants who successfully completed the online registration are required to log in to the official recruitment portal — npfapplication.psc.gov.ng — to check their application status and print the necessary documents for the exercise.
Candidates are to present the following documents at their respective screening venues on the dates and times indicated on their invitation slips: the Guarantors Form, Application Submission Slip, Invitation Slip, Credential Screening Form, and Physical Screening Form.
In addition, applicants must come along with their original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC); O’ Level (GCE/SSCE) certificate; birth certificate or declaration of age; Local Government/State of Origin certificate; and trade test certificate for specialist applicants.
The PSC further directed candidates to submit original and duplicate copies of their credentials, neatly packaged in two separate white flat files, with recent passport photographs attached. A duly completed and signed Guarantors Form, accompanied by photocopies of referees’ credentials and passport photographs, is also mandatory.
Applicants are expected to appear at the screening centres dressed in white T-shirts, white shorts, white canvas shoes, and white stockings.
Argungu reiterated that the recruitment exercise is free of charge and does not require any form of payment. He assured applicants of transparency and accountability in the process and warned against falling victim to fraudsters and impostors.
“The recruitment exercise is absolutely free. Applicants should be wary of online scammers and other criminal elements who may attempt to exploit them. Anyone found engaging in fraudulent activities will be arrested and prosecuted,” the PSC chairman stated.
The screening will take place at locations specified on each candidate’s invitation slip.
